France Student Visa: Requirements, Process, Cost
If you are an Indian student looking to pursue studies in France, there are four types of student visas that might be applicable to you depending on the length and type of your studies.
First, the Schengen student visa (short-stay) is available if your studies will last less than three months with no intention to remain in the country further.
Second, the visa for taking entrance exams is proposed for those who need to take admission examinations.
Third, the temporary long-stay visa is a six-month student visa granting the student permission to study in the country.
Finally, the long-stay visa or the extended-stay VLT-TS is required if the student wishes to study in France for a period of more than six months. Algerian natives, however, may be exempt from the VLS-TS, and further information can be found by contacting the appropriate admissions office or consulate/embassy.
